With the countdown truly on for the first race of the season, most of the teams and drivers have revealed their new helmet designs for the year (I couldn’t seem to find Alpine’s, at least not on Instagram). Overall, the helmet game is very strong this year so I’m going to rate them all out of 10. Just for fun!
Williams
Starting off strong with my own team, we have two great designs from Carlos and Alex.
Unsurprisingly, I love Carlos’ helmet. The Spanish flag colours on the Williams blue, his iconic and gorgeous logo. I like it a lot. I do have to say that it’s not actually my favvvvourite lid this year … but we’re giving it a solid 8/10.
Alex’s helmet is sooooo cute!!!! It matches his vibe perfectly, the colours are *chef’s kiss*, and the design is simple but still really cool. How could anybody on this earth dislike Alex Albon? Helmet = 9/10.
Red Bull
Onto Red Bull. I will be as nice as I can be as part-time hater (whether or not I like this team is dependent on the day, the time, the position of the moon and the stars, whether they have recently fired or screwed over one of my faves, etc etc.).
The saving grace of this design is Max’s sick af logo, the rest is … not what I would personally choose. I have to give credit where credit is due- the lion is earning this lid a 5/10.
Guyyyysssss this is actually really good. The neon pink and the little swirly designs I kinda love, if the Red Bull logo could just be smaller and also if I hated it less this would HIT. 7/10.
Racing Bulls
Yuki does not mess around when it comes to serving looks, and his helmet is no exception. This is so good, so fun, so cute, the way the sponsors are tied in works so well, this an 8/10 for sure.
I loveeeee a fluorescent moment on a helmet!!! I really do and I think this looks super cool. Once again, unfortunately its maximum potential for slaying is limited by the Red Bull logo but its still sick. 7/10.
Aston Martin
These designs automatically gain aura from the F175 presentation, because damn they looked good with a Hugo Boss suit!!
You can say whatever you want about Lance Stroll, but this helmet is so gorgeous. I am a very, very big fan of Aston Martin green and its so incredibly satisfying to me that the lid matches the car AND the race suit. This might be controversial, but to me this is a 10/10.
I didn’t like this at first, but the more I look at it the better it gets. The details add so much and I definitely like the colours, I’m giving this another 7/10.
Haas
Haas didn’t have to eat everybody else up, yet they did. I feel like every day I find myself becoming more and more of a Haas fan.
Yes, I’m about to gas up Ollie Bearman on my blog AGAIN. Certified fan. This is sick. His bear logo is one of my fave logos on the whole grid, AND its fluro??? Sign. Me. Up. 9/10.
Immediately 10/10. Not even a question. It matches the race suit, its low-key giving Spiderman, the design is cool, the red is fire. No notes at all.
Stake
I couldn’t find a proper picture of Gabriel Bortoleto’s helmet, but whenever one comes out I will come back to the post and add in it because it looks pretty cool.
Edit: He posted a helmet reveal literally about an hour or two after I published this post. It feels personal tbh.
Stood up and clapped. He knew he ate with this lid. Deeply obsessed with every detail, an easy 10/10 in my opinion. All the drivers should have stars on their helmets and I hope and pray that this starts a new trend.
Gabriel’s helmet is the Brazilian flag colours and from a distance this looks very promising- I don’t think I can score this just yet but trust it’ll be a good score.

It is good!!!! It is the Brazilian flag colours, and its also a tribute to Ayrton Senna. 8/10!
Mercedes
I don’t think this is super different from George’s last helmet, but that’s a good thing because I loved last year’s too. Cute, consistent, 9/10.
One word: stars!! We’ve got the Italian flag colours, and stars on the top. This isn’t my favourite design ever, but I’m seeing the vision here. 7/10.
Mclaren
I was fully prepared to go into mourning if the fluro blobs didn’t come back for another season, this is everything to me. I think this is the only helmet I’d consider buying a mini version of because I’ve BEEN obsessed. 10/10. Please don’t ever change.
Oscar has some tough helmet competion up against his teammate, but you know what? I like it. I don’t love it, but I like it. 7/10.
Ferrari
Saving the best for last … or did I?
Yeah I definitely saved the best for last. The way these are Ferrari colours??? And also the colours of the Monaco flag??? And the design is sick??? Yes. 10/10.
Lewis’ new lid made me actually jump for joy. Kick my feet and giggle, even. This is so good I didn’t even notice the dreaded HP logo at first, and that’s how you know he ate. 10. Out. Of. 10. I’m always going to be a Mercedes girl but my obession with Lewis at Ferrari is getting a little crazy. 8th WDC pending …
